Our client is seeking an attorney with 2 to 5 years of litigation experience to join their Litigation Department in Tampa office as a staff attorney. This is a full time, non-partner track position supporting the Construction Practice Group. The attorney in this position will be responsible for a high volume of matters and must be confident in their autonomy. Many of the cases proceed in arbitration rather than in circuit court, so the position requires an individual who is self-motivated and stays focused in the office setting. Our ideal candidate will have very strong legal research and writing skills and will have conducted discovery, drafted motions, argued one or more motions in court, have some deposition experience, and some trial experience. Experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation of insurance claims, construction and design defect claims, and related matters is strongly preferred. Proven track record in settling cases. Strong organizational and time management skills required. Prior experience managing a team of paralegals and support staff preferred. To be considered, a candidate must be an active member of the Florida Bar.
